First, we met in the lobby of our hotel at 5:30 and everyone decided how we would break up to go to dinner. It is hard to have any downtown restaurants seat 20 people, take our orders, get our meals and be to the theater in time for the show. There were 4 couples in our group and it was decided that we would just walk in the direction of the theater, maybe a mile away, and just find something along that route. We found a restaurant along side the Chicago river, Smith & Wollesky. We went there. Wow! The food was very good and EXPENSIVE!!! Went we met back up with the group at the theater, the couple of Chicago told us that Smith & Wollesky was the most expensive restaurant in Chicago. You know, some how I believe them.
Wicked played at Ford's Oriental Theater. This is a very old and ornate theater. We had the most incredible seats. We were in the orchestra level and had very clear view of the stage! The musical was fantastic. Of course I already knew the songs going into it, but how they fit into the story was good!!!! The performers seemed to have perfection. All I can can is WOW!!!!!!!
Josh & I next to one of the Wicked Ball advertisements that lined the streets outside the theater. No - I am NOT pregnant. I have just gained some weight over the last couple of months. The outfit and the stance don't help the look either!
Josh & I in the theater waiting for the show to start. Josh was kind to buy me a big program that has so much detail, pictures and information about the musical! Thank you Josh; You are the best husband any woman could ask for! I love you!
This is the chandelier that was in the foyer/lobby area of the theater. It was enormous. This picture in no way does it any justice!

Sounds Awesome!
My Mom saw it in NYC and loved it. When she says she is going to visit my brother (he lives by Lincoln Center) I know the truth it is to see shows.
Dear Trish,
I enjoyed your quick visit to Chicago. I forgot it can be really fun to be there. I loved it when I lived there, but it's really special because it's where I met Dad. One of these days, we will go back and visit again. Love your blog and family. But then I am prejudice, I love you. Have a great weekend. I am loving watching conference.
Love
Mom A
