The "Trish Moment"

Every now and again I do something that I would categorize as a "Trish Moment." Now, if the story wasn't so funny I wouldn't tell you because it is quite embarrassing.

To set the stage: It was Saturday night, well actually about 1:30am Sunday morning, in the hotel room. We had just finished packing everything that we could before our early morning departure on Sunday. While washing my hands I noticed I had a few stray eye brows that needed to be cleaned up so I went into the bedroom part of our suite to get the tweezers. After plucking I turned off the lights and went to return the tweezers. I got that done, but my eyes still had not adjusted to the darkness.

The moment: I left the sink area in the bedroom and turned quickly to walk to the bed and BAM! I ran right into the short wall across from the sink. Not just the wall, but the corner of the mirror on that wall. I had completely forgotten that the wall with the large mirror was even there. I smashed my face flat and was knocked to the ground so fast it took me a minute to even know what had happened. I was laughing so hard trying not to cry. Because of the sheer volume of instant pain my eyes were just watering. It was a good thing I had taken some Ibuprofen shortly before this for the headache I already had!!!!

Josh was immediately out of bed and trying to help me. I was in shock and couldn't believe what I had just done.

On Sunday I made it to church and sat in front of the family that had my kids. I got Brendon and he and I do this thing where we touch foreheads and look at each other. Not thinking about my face still hurting I did that with him. He did it a much harder than usual. That combined with the already painful face, I thought I was going to fall off the bench it hurt so bad. Again, a smile had to hit my face to keep from laughing and crying at the same time.

Here is it 3 days later and I still can not touch that part of my face, not even in the slightest.

And there you have it! - My "Trish Moment." Hey, what do you expect - I am an Anderson!!!!!!

Trish - you make me laugh. I didn't notice a bruise or anything when I saw you. I hope you are OK
