Yes, it is my birthday!!

Today was my birthday. I woke up with Josh whispering "Happy Birthday" in my ear. It was sweet. Wednesday is my day to volunteer at the school so we were all out the door by 7:20. I had a great time at the school and then it was off to pick up MacKenzie & Bailey to get them to a birthday party for Savanna, a friend from preschool. When I got to Trisha's house to pick them up she kept singing Happy Birthday to me and brought out a gift. I opened it and knew that this freind knew me well. I have had this huge group of decorative sticks in my downstairs bathroom. I have been trying to find a vase to put them in. Trisha was so kind and got one for me!!!

From dropping off the girls I went grocery shopping with Brendon. When we finished we still had 45 minutes before it was time to pick them. I didn't have time to get home and back so I took Brendon to the park. It was a fun little time. Then we got the girls from their party and got home. Just as we got the groceries put away it was time to get Lexi from the bus stop. Just as I went to walk out the door, my friend Erin showed up with a gift and a birthday cupcake. The gift was a tile with a beautiful "T" on it for my name. Until I can find a permanent place for my lovely tile it is sitting on my piano for everyone to see. Erin even walked down to the bus wtih me so we could continue talking. What a wonderful surprise.

Our ward was having a Halloween party/carnival so it was a mad dash to get the kids fed, cleaned up and dressed for the party. Suddenly I was shocked when Josh walked through the door at 4:45. I wasn't expecting him until it was time to walk back out the door so I was totally surprised. Not only was he here early - but it was even before 5pm - WOW!!!!

He helped me get the kids fed, then brought out a delicious cookies and cream cake. He couldn't find 32 candles so he made a 3 & a 2 so the lit candles formed a 32. He offered to just have one big candle, but the kids wouldn't hear of it.

Then it was my gifts. I told Josh he had better not get me anything since my birthday present is happening next week (more to come on that later when it happens). Of course, he didn't listen. I got a new Sudoku book (yeah!), a PedEgg, (yeah!!), 100 Calories Reese Snack pack with a note that the family was trying to help me out on my quest to loose some weight, and then a huge surprise - a Magic Bullet. It was the whole kit-n-kaboodle - Complete with blender, juicer and all. I was shocked. I had always wanted one, but never got around to getting one. YEAH!!!!!!

Josh lighting the candles on the cake.
Then he took the camera from me and snapped a couple.

Brendon enjoying his cake. He had to get a full blown bath before getting ready for the party.
Just after this my friend, Kendra showed up at the door with a card from the Relief Society and a little Candy gift from her. Then Alisha called and said, "Oh good you are there." And hung up. Within a few seconds the door bell rang. I answered it with her holding a little cake singing Happy Birthday to me!
Then we were off to our ward Halloween Party. It was such a great party. I enjoyed spending my birthday with so many of my friends. Through out the day I received phone calls from many many family members and friends wishing me well. It was a fantastic day. I felt so loved.
Thank you to everyone who love me and wished me well. I greatly appreciated everything!!!!!!!!!
