The day in and of itself was nothing special. Daddy had a seminar for work in the evening so we were trying to figure out when we would celebrate. We just decided that we would do it that evening without Daddy. As the day progressed I decided I didn't like that idea. The kids and I got all ready and packed up her presents and went over to Josh's lab. We had the present unwrapping there. Daddy was surprised and LOVED it. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera so I didn't even get to take any pictures of the event.
After the presents I took the kids to Little Anthony's to a special birthday dinner. They called MacKenzie to the front, sang to her, and gave her a big ice cream sundae.
It was so late when we got home we didn't even do cake & ice cream then. Plus they had all just had a lot of ice cream at the restaurant. Because of this I decided that we could wait and do the ice cream cake the next day.
