It was great. I had listed each verse of each song individually and placed them in a paper lunch bag. I had also taken a bunch of ribbon and curled it all up and brought double sided tape. I watched for kids who were singing well and reverently and chose them to get a song out of my bag. The kids could earn 1 to 3 "hairs" for Greg's head. If they could get through it, it was only 1 "hair", if most of them sang, but they had problems then they got 2, if they did a great job - everyone singing then they got 3 "hairs". I used the teachers and the Primary Presidency to assist me in determining how many the kids earned.
If it was a verse that needed help, I would say something like, "OH, that was only worth 1 hair. Bro. Kam needs more than that, don't you Bro Kam? Would you kids like to try again?" Of course it was always a resounding YES!!! Bro Kam tried to get the teachers to give him 3 even if the kids didn't deserve it!
I had forgotten my camera so this picture was taken with my phone - it was the best I could do!
Afterward, he left the "hair" on and walked around the entire church building, peeking into the different classrooms to show the parents and to encourage them to speak to their kids about how he got his hair. He was such a great sport! THANK YOU, GREG!!!!! I appreciate you helping and for the humor you added to the activity!!!!! I couldn't have done it without you!
