Let me preface first. On Tuesday at preschool the girls made Halloween "decorations". It was a baby food jar with a jack-o-lantern painted on it and had orange paint on the inside. I had them setting up on the ledge in the kitchen for everyone to see.
Back to my story - I was upstairs working on things when MacKenzie comes up crying a little. I come out of the bedroom to find her holding half of the jar, yes that means it was broken! She says to me, "Mommy, I didn't throw it I promise; it just slipped out of my fingers." I ran downstairs thinking I would find a huge orange mess all over my kitchen floor. No, there was no orange in the kitchen. I go exploring to find the mess in my entry way spread across the office.
During the cleaning process I looked over at MacKenzie and said, "You know, I just don't understand how the jar got clear over here out of the kitchen." Her repsonse was very quiet - "Because I threw it." UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!! What was she thinking. I didn't want to loose control - so I just sent her to her bed for a HUGE time out - that ended in a nap!
The next two hours were spent scrubbing the floor, door & door jam. It is at a moment like this that I wish I had a carpet cleaner. The only person I knew for certain that had one is currently out of town. I thought of calling around, but decided I should probably just clean it while it was wet. The mess seriously went clear up and onto the stairs and half way across the floor of my office. Josh says you can't even tell!

From the pictures it looks like you got it all out!!! What did you use? Paint and kids are a scary combo, I am glad that you were able to get it out of your carpet. I am not sure if Aidan had done something like that, I would have been so calm as to just put him in time out!
