I had a friend ask me to help with a Relief Society lesson in which the subject is about Gratitude. As it turns out I don't need to help, but it made me realize that I had not posted a thankful/gratitude list in a little while. I decided that I needed to do one today...
1. The sun. When the sun shines it is bright and cheery. I also thank my Father in Heaven each day I get to see a new sunrise.
2. Sleeping in. Today Josh took care of the kids which allowed me to sleep in past 9am. It was so nice, especially since we didn't get home from the Phoenix area until about 1am this morning. I know he had to be exhausted himself, yet he was selfless in his act.
3. The birth of a baby. As you know my sister had her baby yesterday. I was able to see them at the hospital. As I held her new baby it made me reflect on the births of each of my children. They were so different and such a wonderful experience for each one. I am grateful for my children and the blessing that they are for me.
4. A lazy day. Today was a lazy day. Other than a couple of little things I needed to finish up for singing time we laid around and played as a family. I enjoyed laying on the couch watching Josh wrestle with the kids! They loved it too.
5. Sweets. I shouldn't like them as much as I do with trying to loose weight, but I just have a hard time resisting them.
6. Treadmill. When it is dark outside, but I have a desire to run it is nice to have a treadmill. I can't do all of my training on it, but I sure like having it when I need (want) it.
7. Scooters. The girls all now have a scooter. They love being able to go out front and ride up and down the street. It is something that keeps them active and is something that I enjoy watching them do.
8. Breezes. The breeze blowing today is just lovely. We have the upstairs windows open and the wind blows through the house. I so love having that cooling effect.
9. Chicken nuggets and french fries. I was making cookies all afternoon into the evening for part of my Singing Time activity tomorrow. When I realized what time it was I needed to have something fast for dinner. I appreciate the quick fall back meals such as chicken nuggets and french fries that require little work at all, but that the family enjoys.
10. Communication. I love the feeling of peace through out my home because we are communicating as a family. The spirit of peace and love that is present is almost tangible. The kids are behaving, and using their words, Josh and I, I feel are closer than ever. I love this feeling of love that abides in my home. I know that it is because we continually work together as a family on common goals all the while communicating along the way that it is present.
