A Day of Family Fun

So, we decided to brave Freestone Park again. If you didn't read my post of our last adventure to Freestone (A trip to Gilbert) it is worth the read. This time it was much more controlled and wonderful...No one got lost, no one got hurt, no one fell into the lake!!! YEAH!!

On Saturday, 3/21 we headed back over to Freestone Park. My brother, Phil, & his family had come over from Rio Rancho, NM so we could celebrate all of their birthdays with them. It makes it easy when everyone in their family have birthdays within two months of each other. We were back to the side of the park that is much safer, no lakes, no big soccor fields to contend with, no big play grounds where we had to constantly keep an eye on the kids. It was a much more relaxing day.

It was a small group. Phil's family: Phil, Tiffany, kids: Jessica, James & Shawn; Brother Drew & Jennifer; My family; My Mom - Dad had to work; Tiffany's Sister & her baby; Tiffany's Mom & Grandma; and Family friends: Mike, Brittany & their two kids. Due to circumstances beyond our control, the party had to be moved up to earlier in the day. Because of this, my sister and her family were unable to attend. We missed having them and Dad there with us.

We used Grandpa's cart. This has become a fast favorite with the kids. The kids had fun running around with the different balls and the men played Frisbee. The ladies just mostly hung around and watched while we talked and kept a watch out for the kids.

Ok, this picture is not from the park. It was taken just before heading up to Gilbert for the trip. But, it was too cute to not share. Isn't my little dude handsome?????

My brother, Phil (on the left) and his close buddy Mike enjoying some cake. My brother, Drew, kicking the Frisbee. He knows some pretty cool tricks when it comes to "throwing" and "catching" a Frisbee. I was in awe.

Of course, my studly man, Josh, had to get in on the action as well. I enjoyed watching him running around and bonding with my brothers. He is so HOT!!!! He doesn't think he he much of a hat guy, but I think he pulled it off nicely!! Hot stuff man!!!!! Lexi hanging around!

Drew & Jenn
Cutie-Patootie, MacKenzie, posing for a picture!
Bailey showing off her amazing balancing talent! Of course it was, "Mom, Mom, take a picture of me. MOM!!! Take a picture!!!" Who could resist this cute face?!?!?
Drew doing his Wave Board while holding Bailey. I know he is good and all, but I was still holding my breath while he did this.
The kids after coming down the hill on the cart!
Tiffany (in the front) and Brittany with her son, after riding down the hill. They were laughing so hard I am surprised they kept control of the cart.
Singing "Happy Birthday". They each had their own candles to blow out.
It was a wonderful day. I very much enjoyed the time with my family. I don't get to see some of them very often. The memories that are created are priceless. Thank you for letting us share this experience with you, Phil & Tiff. We love you!!!!!!
