We are T-Minus 2 days and counting down to having our 5th child join our family.
Who knows, maybe she will decide that the 5th is a great birthday and come today (you know, the 5th child on the 5th - sounds good to me)! Oh, wouldn't that be nice. In the mean time, nothing much is going on. At the same time, I think another scenario could be just as fun. We are obviously scheduled to have our C-Section on the 7th - the same day as my Sister in law. That same sister-in-law her birthday with Josh on the 12th. Wouldn't it be fun for the two girls to share a birthday and then two of the parents?? We could have quadruple birthday parties together! See, funny things come to mind when I don't have much to occupy it right now.
Josh has the next two weeks off of work - can I have a shout out for that?!? I am so excited that he will get to be here so much. I am going to get spoiled and then he will have to go back! BOO! It will be nice though to have him here to help me deal with our B-Boy - among the many other things. I think I am most worried about our little guy. As much as I have tried, he still remains a HUGE momma's boy. It will be a shock to him. I am grateful to have Josh here to help me juggle everything and get into some kind of routine.
I went grocery shopping on Saturday. I haven't done that since the beginning of May. It was crazy busy out there, being the day before the 4th and all. As I was driving out to Costco I realized - Wow, school starts in two weeks for my girls and I haven't done anything and if I don't do something today, they might not have what they need. So I made stops along the way to my two favorite thrift shops (22nd Street Thrift and Savers) and Target. Combined I got them 16 pairs of jeans, 8 shirts, and Lexi a pair of shoes for $72. I think that was a smokin' deal!!!!! The girls were super excited as well!!! All of the pants have embroidered designs or sparkles all over them. They want to wear them now, but I hid them to be used when school starts.
Let's see, I also made it to all three hours of church yesterday. I was so exhausted when I got home, but to be spiritually fed that much made it all worth it. It was nice to stay and actually visit with people as well. Jut in time to be gone for a few more weeks.
I have still been cranking things off of my to-do list. I have two major things left that I want/need to get finished today. Other than that, they are all small, insignificant things that can wait until another time.
In addition to the roast that I put on for last nights dinner yesterday morning, I grabbed my other crock pot and threw in tons of chicken. I made two frozen dinners for the family. I still have chicken left over, but couldn't think of what else to make at that time. I had a couple of ideas, but it would require me going to the store today and grabbing a couple of more things so I decided not to use them and would come up with something to use things I already have. Any ideas?
The only other thing that I am totally stoked about is the shots after the baby. I know, that sounds morbid. BUT - usually my insurance company will not approve the name brand (a 30 day supply of the name brand is $2300 as opposed to the generic that is only a couple of hundred dollars - and I have 6 weeks/42 days worth of shots that I have to do - it adds up!!) so in the past I end up with the generic that I have to keep track of syringes, vials of medication, fill the syringes myself, and do the shots twice a day. HOWEVER, this time they approved the name brand!!!!!!!!!!!!! The syringes come pre-filled and I only have to do them ONCE A DAY!!!!!! That is 42 less shots that I have to give myself over the next 6 weeks!!!! YIPPEEEEEE! I can not begin to tell you how utterly excited I am about that!!! The $35 co-pay was well worth that much more of my sanity!
Well, I guess that about wraps up our little household for now. I am sure the next time I am on to post it will be to introduce our baby girl to the world.

Just wondering why you need to get shots after the baby? That seems like lots of shots, hope all goes well.
