Yes, It is true
Lexi's arm is broken. I hate to admit, but I was the negative mom and thought she was totally faking this injury. She played around the rest of the evening on Saturday - dodge ball no less. I watched her all day Monday and Tuesday. There didn't seem to be anything wrong. It was like she just wanted the attention. It never bothered her until I asked her to help out and do something. However, I took her in today. They did the digital x-rays so I was standing there as each picture showed up on the computer screen. The first one came up and I could see the white line straight across the bone. I just shook my head as I knew instantly that I was wrong. I am SO grateful that Josh and I just decided that I should still take her in to have it looked at.
The location I had to take her to didn't have waterproof casts. grrrr. I started to worry and asked how long she would have to have it on. He said, "Three weeks should about do it." I sighed in relief. He asked if we had some grand plans. When I explained that she was being baptized in about five weeks and it all made sense to him. He said he would just fine tune it all up and she would be as good as new. He said he actually recommended not doing the waterproof casts. He said they are extremely uncomfortable. If it obviously had to be on there (like for a baptism) he would have signed the order and sent me back to our normal location for it.
In the mean time - Miss Lexi is sporting a pretty purple cast.
We need to NOT have school break at our house. MacKenzie returned from Christmas break with a broken arm in a cast and now here after Spring break Lexi returns with a broken arm in a cast. They better not do anything heading into summer or I just might have to hurt them myself =)

She had to even it out... at first it was the left arm, now it's the right arm. Good thing it's not both at the same time :) Glad you didn't do one of those 'That's nice little voice' things that I so often kick myself for doing and took her in.
haha a family with mostly girls and you still end up with broken bones. Go figure. If we could please be invited to the baptism I would love it!! We would love to support Lexi and I would love for Elizabeth to see her first baptism and what a good example Lexi is:)
Lexi looks so pretty in purple!! So glad her cast will be off before her baptism. Lexi is a doll! I still have her "you're welcome" note that she wrote us. love that girl!
Yep. I remember Lexi's cast 5 years ago. She is so cute Trish.
Hey. We found Flo. Read the last para of the blog. I updated it :)
Hang in there with the poop part. (me too) :)
Oh dear, you've got a lot going on! It looks like a similar break that Seth had last summer break resulting in not being able to play baseball for the remiander of the season, and they made it to championships, but with Seth in the stands cheering instead of being able to be with the team. Sigh. gws lexi!
So far no broken bones at the Carpenter house yet, but the way Parker is going we'll have one next week :) Glad that Lexi is ok and that her cast will be off in time for her baptism. Love the color Lex!
Oh my goodness, can you get a break? haha, jk. What a crazy time. I'm so afraid Bryson is totally going to have broken bones and I won't know it for days! He's way too tough for me... Hope she feels better soon!
