Thursday in CA - 2nd Day at Disneyland

We had a marvelous time on our second day here at Disneyland. First, we used ourt Magic Entrance passes - which didn't seem so magical as so many people used them. However, Josh and I planned to start the day off at the Princess area. So we headed back over to Fantasyland. The Princess area didn't open until 10:30 and we got there about 9:30. We started off doing Alice in Wonderland since we had missed that the day before. Then Josh decided that he and the girls wanted to the the Matterhorn again. I kept Brendon and off they went. I kept seeing people walk over to the area of the Princess event, most people came back. I decided that I had better go get in line or we would might not get to see them. I ended up second in line to see the princesses. After a little while Josh and the girls came and joined Brendon and me. As the time grow closer and closer the girls got more and more excited. We made it and and they saw Snow White. I did feel bad, however, because as soon as they turned for the picture with Snow White and saw Cinderella across the way, they just kept calling to her and pointing . Next was Cinderella and finally Jasmine. The girls wanted their hair done and face painted like so many other kids. At $30 a head for hair and $7 to $28 for the face painting we passed this time. I told them that we could plan on it the next time we come. They went down to the dancing area and made crowns, got many pictures taken (here are only a very small handful) and danced with the Princesses at the Royal Ball. They LOVED every minute of it. I was so glad to have a few tips that the wait line was normally an hour long, or longer, to get there early! We made it early and it was a special time for our three princesses.

From there were were off to the left side of the map. First, it was the Jungle Cruise and Tarzan's Treehouse. Lexi did not like being that high up on something as wobbly as the swing bridges. They were all happy to be on the ground and playing with the things there. Josh grabbed Fast Passes to Indiana Jones and then as a family we went to the Pirates of the Caribbean. As we finished Josh took Lexi to Indiana Jones and I was off with the other three to Critter Country. Here the three younger kids met Winnie the Pooh. Brendon again was quite skeptical - he would not turn his back the the bear. It was so funny to see him walk backwards. Then we went on the Winnie the Pooh ride. The kids loved it! By the time we finished Josh & Lexi were done at their ride. We grabbed passes to Splash Down and then went off to the Winnie the Pooh ride again. I ran and did Indiana Jones by myself while Josh & the kids did the Winnie The Pooh ride over and over and over. I told you they loved it!

it was time to redeem the Fast Passas so Josh took Bailey & Lexi on it first. Josh came back laughing hysterically. Each "log" could hold four people. The first seat was empty, then it was little Bailey, Lexi & Josh in the back. He said that when they hit the bottom of the BIG drop, Bailey was screaming (and crying) -NOT FUN!!! NOT FUN!!! NOT FUN!!!! Now, too understand the true irony of the situation, Bailey is all about fun! She doesn't care how much trouble she gets into with things if it is fun! I didn't see the picture, but Josh did it for me and I could vividly see it in my mind. I was laughing so hard (trying not to for her sake - without luck!) I had tears streaming down my face. Oh, how we wish now that we had purchased that priceless picture. After them, Lexi went again with MacKenzie and Me. They let MacKenzie sit in the very back with me and Lexi was directly in front of us. Since I was with her, I could tell her when things were coming and hold her she wasn't anything close to being as frightened as Bailey. Her biggest thing was she didn't like getting wet. Josh and Lexi went one more time after that.

Here we took a lunch break back at the picnic area. From there we came back, did the Thunder Mountain Railroad, which all of the kids LOVED. I think Josh and the kids went on it three times and I went twice with them. We did the big paddle/river boat, and Finished with the Haunted Mansion - another one that they didn't like as well. MacKenzie wasn't feeling so well, so we decided to call it a night at that point.

We came back to the suite to have Ramen Noodles - one of the kids' favorites. It was showers and off to bed to do it again tomorrow!

(These are in reverse order of the day again - I know, it is just easier this way!)
