Saturday...At the beach again...

Today was a lazy Saturday morning. We started out with the kids watching cartoons and Josh and I relaxing as long as possible. We got things ready, including lunch and headed off to the beach. We played for a long time. Again, MacKenzie and Alexis loved the water. Bailey and Brendon not so much. However, the longer we were there, the more he got used to the idea and did start hanging out in it with me, Josh or Lexi. We built a big tower and a wall around it. When we finished it was time for lunch. The tide came in so fast that by the time we had finished lunch the creation was demolished. The water started out probably 10 to 15 feet or so further down the shore and came all the way up to where the tower completely submerged in the water. We laughed, ran, played and got sunburned. We did put sunscreen on everyone, but we still all got burned - me especially.

From there we went back to the resort and swam in the pool there. Brendon was worn out and needed a nap so I headed back up with him. He went down and then slowly one by one the other kids came up. We all got cleaned up and I laid down to rest. I was so worn out that I fell asleep. The next thing I knew, my wonderful husband woke me up telling me dinner was ready. He got the lasagna and salad all ready. He even had the kids ready and waiting at the table. I didn't realize how drained I was physically between my run, the beach Disneyland & now being sunburned. Thankfully he saw the need for me to sleep and allowed that.

We got the kids ready and in bed and started the packing up process for the return home tomorrow! It has been the most wonderful week as a family. We have grown closer, played, enjoyed our time together, had fun, etc. This was our first real vacation with just our little family. I now have many more dreams and goals in life for me and my family. This was so great that we want to experience so much more out of like and I also want to be able to help other families enjoy vacations like this as well. What a tremendous bonding experience this has been - every family deserves that. I know that through the actions that Josh & I do every day we get closer and closer to being able to enjoy many more vacations like this one. Next time we need to bring a few families with us to enjoy altogether - HINT HINT HINT!!!!!

That was a pretty bare beach! Where was eveyone? Was the water cold? Looks like you had a great time.
