So, I am sad to report we didn't have our camera with us today at Disneyland. I thought we had left it back at the resort when Josh wanted to run back to the car. I knew that would take at least 30 minutes for him to do so I just said No - not very nicely. Sorry Josh!!! When we got back to the car and it was there, I was mad at myself. Nothing can be done now!
We went to Disneyland later today because we were staying later for the Character/Dream Parade and Fireworks. YEAH!! We let the kids pick their favorite rides. We headed back to Frontierland and did the Thunder Mountain rail road again. From there it was back to Tomorrowland. We did the Astro Blaster and I took the kids on Space Mountain. They were excited now, they didn't like it on day one. I think they got used to the excitement and somewhat scary things that this didn't phase them now. From here we went to go see Honey I Shrunk the Audience. Now, if you read my Day one at Disneyland post you saw the reason Josh had given the girls for it not working that day (They couldn't get the audience back up to normal/big size). Lexi was not happy to be going to this ride - especially with the glasses. She was very visibly nervous and was almost in tears. I finally explained to her that Daddy was just kidding that we would not be getting any smaller and the glasses were like the ones from her Barbie movie back at home. She sighed and was then ok to go in. Brendon was hilarious. He wouldn't wear the glasses, but jumped everywhere that everyone else did. From there we grabbed hamburgers and chicken nuggets from the Torrowland Terrace. We watched the Jedi training while eating. MacKenzie didn't want to eat. I forced her to and within minutes she was throwing up - obviously still not feeling well. Since it was about 70 minutes before the parade I suggested that I take the blankets we brought and MacKenzie and go save places.
Josh kept the other kids in Tomorrowland and did a few more rides while MacKenzie slept while waiting for the parade. The parade was incredible. We had fantastic seats, right on the curb. Tinker Bell blew kisses to the kids. The Fairy from Pinocchio came and kissed them, the fairies from Sleeping Beauty even came by. Then the different floats started by. The Lion King float ended up in front of us for the "finale" part of the parade. Other characters came and gave the kids hugs and shook their hands. They loved every minute of the parade!
Once that was over we headed back up to Toontown. We did the Roger Rabbit Ride and then started looking at all of the buildings and playing with the different doorbells and knockers. Lexi and MacKenzie wanted to do the coaster again so Josh took them multiple times while Bailey, Brendon and I played non-stop at Goofy's Playhouse! When they closed that down we went to find a place for the fireworks.
It was absolutely crowded. We barely made it through anywhere with the stroller. We finally got a fairly good spot. But Brendon, being so unbelievably tired wouldn't stop screaming. I got up and walked and walked and walked with him. Finally an announcement came on that there were higher elevation winds and the fireworks might be cancelled - NO!!!!! after many more announcements like that , they were indeed cancelled about 9:55, when they were supposed to start at 9:25. Oh, well. It was a long trek back to the trams and on to the car. We finally made it home and we all just completely crashed!!!!! It is a good thing that it is a relaxing day at the beach tomorrow. Maybe we will get to sleep in????
