Splish Splash at the Splash Park

Last time my family attempted the splash park it was quite breezy and the kids lasted no more than 10 minutes before wanting out of the cold to go play. This last week we had to cancel a few play dates due to sickness of our friends. My friend Sara and I were on FaceBook chatting and decided to hook up at the splash park the next day and do a picnic afterward.

I was so pleasantly surprised by my kiddos and the excitement they were having. The park is so fun. It is a little bit across town from us, but the fact that it is free and has plenty of picnic and play areas makes it so worth it.

The park has water coming from everywhere, out of the ground, out of run through devices, and falling from fun things up above.

What are they waiting for????
....This!!!! Alexis loved this! She did it over and over and over.
I caught a few on camera and this was the best one!! Buckets above would fill with water and when they got too full, they would tumble over and pour the water out on whoever was below.
These two boys (Kyle and Brendon) were having so much fun. They are so alike it is almost scary. They liked to hang out by the fence and just enjoy not being in the water.
This is our friend Kyra. I just love her curly red hair. She is soooo adorable!
She and Bailey will be in the same preschool with Ms. Jo-Anne this next school year.
I don't think Brendon got a drop of water on him last time we were at the park. Today he followed these things with the water shooting up all around the park. As one would go off, he would run to the next one. It was so fun to watch him enjoying himself. Since I didn't want to get too wet, I would often send MacKenzie or Alexis over to retrieve him and bring him back.
Kyra and Bailey were often found running around hand in hand through the water.
When all of the kids started looking like this we decided it was time to dry off and head over for our picnic lunch.
We found and open table and just enjoyed ourselves for quite a while. Once the kids were done eating they ran over to the smaller playground while Sara and I just enjoyed visiting with each other. I enjoy my time with her. She is such a wonderful person!!

We will definitely be doing the splash park again and again. It was such a great morning that day!

That looks like so much fun!!! So jealous, we should all get together and do that sometime! We need to do another playdate. I am so glad that you and Sara were able to have so much fun with your kids! What a great day!

I really want to take my kids there but wonder if there is an age cut-off? Can 9 - 11 year olds attend? Sometimes (for good reason) they keep splash parks only for the little ones.

we love that place. we will only go if it is a really hot day because the water that comes out is so so cold and if there is even a lick of wind its too cold but elizabeth just loves it. if you ever go and want an extra child im sure elizabeth would love to get out while in stuck inside with a newborn:)

Where is this splash park? I think they're a brilliant idea.
We might check one out in Fresno tomorrow.
