Our Castle

On Monday I was sick with whatever had been going around (Luckily mine only latest about two days)! So, I had been laying around resting off and on throughout the day trying to kick whatever it was I had. I had been downstairs on the couch for a little while and when I went upstairs, this is what I found in our loft (aka Family Room). The girls told me it was their CASTLE (complete with Disney Princess blankets, I mean walls, and everything!). They had color books and pillows and things underneath and had been entertaining themselves for quite some time. I, of course, had to grab my camera to document it.
I snuck in the first picture. And when they realized I was taking pictures they came rushing to be in the pictures as well. My three princesses! Just after this, the princess dress up came out and they were "real" princesses.
One good thing about the heat - Brendon takes longer naps. He had been asleep through the castle building and playing time. When the girls were looking at the pictures on the camera he wanted his picture taken as well. I couldn't leave this cute guy out now could I? Isn't he getting so big?

Forts are the best...the hardest part is the cleanup afterwards but if that gives you some time to rest it is worth it! We have had forts live for weeks for that reason.

I hope you're feeling better. I LOVE the girl's "castle". I wish I had an ounce of the imagination of a child. I wonder where it goes. I'm adding you to my blog roll because I only remember to check when you leave a comment, then I miss out on some posts. :)

I love ti when kids build fun forts. If only it can be a bit bigger so the mommies can fit into them...

I loved the Splash Park! Where is that at?
