Natalie is a long time friend. We have known each other for about 15 years or so. There was a summer where we were always together - mostly hanging out at her house. I love her family and loved being with them. We started out in the same ward at church and then through massive growth the ward was split several times and we no longer stayed in the same ward.
We managed to stay in contact for quite some time. Then we sort of lost contact but would still occasionally run into each other different places. I think the last time I physically saw her was at a Regional Church meeting held at Gammage Auditorium on the ASU campus up in Tempe (sorry Wildcat Fans). I don't even know how long ago that was. Nat, do you?
Where did we finally reconnect you ask? Facebook, of course!!! I am so extremely glad that we found each other again. I thoroughly enjoy reading her blog and get excited when I see her comments on mine. I see her struggles and triumphs, sadness and joy. She is a wonderful mother who loves both of her sweet children (known as "the girl" and "the boy" to blog readers) and "the Husband" aka Ammon so dearly.
I love Natalie and am so glad that we have our blogs to help us stay in much better contact. Thanks for the award Natalie!!!!!!
So, next you might be asking who I give the award to. First my sister, Michelle, would 100% top my list. Next to my magnificent husband - she is my best friend. I love reading her blog and I see how she grows as a wife, mother, & friend every single day! However, Natalie also gave my sister this award so I won't duplicate it.
Here is who I give the award to:
She shows me the strength of a woman and faith to be a Mom! We share common feelings about certain things and have helped each other through some of them. I appreciate your friendship and I know it will not die with the recent changes in our ward and stake!
She is an example of a Mother and homemaker! One of my longest and dearest friends. It has been my great joy to keep in contact with her throughout these long years and over the great distances. I miss her and am glad to have blogs that lets each other into our little worlds - separated by this vast country!
Sharla Palmer
She teaches the world how to be creative - one project at a time & for smiling through adversity! She has great strength. She has faith! She also loves her family and knows when they need to come first.

You have to seriously read the blog. Andrea is someone I met just after High School. The story of her son, his heart condition and the road to a heart transplant are courageous & I admire her so much!!
I just smile every time I read her posts. Also, I have never seen her without a smile on her face. Thank you for showing us fun and laughter. She seems to capture every little moment with a camera!
I want to be just like Cori when I grow up. I tell her this all the time (at least I get to post it in my comments). I see her example of how to balance Family, Church, Girl Time, Volunteering and so much more. I hope that I am looking into a small portion of my future when I think of her!
She has a special place in my heart. She worked miracles with my daughter MacKenzie in preschool. She is talented. She also captures every moment with a camera. Her posts are hilarious and so expressive. I love this woman and I hope she knows it!
Another example of faith, compassion, and love for her family. When I reconnected with this long time friend (via Facebook, of course), she said, "There you are. I have been looking for you." That one little comment meant so much to me - more than she knows! I have enjoyed reading about her pregnancy and her preparations.
Her blog keeps me guessing. I get excited when she posts something new. What words of wisdom or hysterical story has she enlightened me with? I value our developing friendship and am grateful for her invites and opportunities to get to know her better. Sara, you are simply amazing (and just so gorgeous - I know I tell you this a lot, but it is so true!!!)
Unfortunately for all of you readers, her blog is private so you can not read her story. Wendy's husband was gone to Army boot camp for 6 straight months. Not coming home once, leaving her with 4 little children at home. Through her example, I have been reminded of perseverance, gratitude, love, and so much more.
I physically have tears from reflecting on how each of these 10 women , well 12 including Natalie & Michelle, have influenced my life for good through their blogs (and in person). I am grateful to each of them for their examples. Thank you for your blogs and for recording the events, thoughts, feelings, and happenings of your lives so I can be touched and grow to be a better person!!!!!!
PS - As a side note: I am concerned that those I did not mention might think that they have not influenced my life or that they are not special to me. Quite the contrary. I struggled to narrow down my list to just 10. Please know if you are on my saved list - you have most definitely touched my life in one or more ways!!!!! Love to you all!

I am honored to be one of those chosen! A sincere thank you for your thoughts on not only me but on others - I echo those same thoughts for others that I know on your list and it helped me count my many blessings this morning that I know you and these other women.
Thank you!!! It's my first award!!! What you said, made me cry :) I love our blogs and how it helps us stay connected even though we are all busy with our families, callings, in your case PTA, and just every day life. Thanks again, Trisha, I am honored!!
You are so sweet and say those things that everyone (or I) wishes I could say but then never does. Thank you for the complement. Your the first blog on my list!
What a surprise and honor! I too am very grateful for your friendship through the years. It is so fun to read your blog and see how we blossom through motherhood. Love you!
wow, Trisha, thank you! I have never even heard of the blog award. Thank you so much for your kind comments and for honoring me with an award. I miss your girls so much. I hope to see them around from time to time. One really good thing about blogging is that I get to see how M and B, and the rest of you are doing from time to time. I get awesome comments often about the preschool framed picture you made for me, and then I get to gush about how much I love my job at home and things I do with the kids at my home preschool. Hope you all are having a great summer!
Trish - you are such a sweetheart! Thanks so much for your kind words. It's been so fun reconnecting with you, even if it's just via the web for now. We shared some fun, unforgettable memories during a momentous time of our lives...and now we're doing it again in motherhood! Don't you just love blogs & FB?! Love you girl!! --Ang :)
What a fun suprise to see MY NAME!! I have not heard of the blog awards before reading your post, so as I was reading about each friend and scrolling down, I had to re-read my name~what an honor.
If I touched just one life in any way through that time (when Emerson was gone), it makes all of it worth it. Thanks for validating that for me, Trisha! I am not just saying this, but I enjoy reading your blog because your life is inspiring, uplifting, and makes me want to be a better mom and wife.
Have a wonderful day!
