Joys of Motherhood

I feel blessed every day to be a mother to four wonderful children. That doesn't mean we don't have difficult days occassionally, but being a mother is so rewarding. There are times when it is also peaceful. Days we just laugh and play, some days are more for teaching, and others bring me so much joy that my heart feels like it will explode. These are just a few small moments that I actually thought to capture.

Bailey put herself down for a nap in the middle of the family room floor.
Brendon was so tuckered out he fell asleep watching Lion King with his three favorite things in the world:
His bear, pacificer, and a car.
This was the second day of summer break. Lexi was being mouthy so I put her in time out. When I came back to talk to her this is what I found...
(luckily, we haven't had any more days like this and our summer break is already half way over!!!)
Bailey - always working to make people laugh. 3 D glasses came apart so she taped the lenses to her face.
MacKenzie riding the pony at the community fair.
Last week Josh went in to wake up MacKenzie and Lexi for scripture study (at our bright and early 6am time) and this was what he found. My heart just smiled and melted when I saw it.
Lexi started piano lessons this summer
(from me...I am learning some additional lessons in patience. So far it is working out nicely.)
Brendon and his "gun." Everything is a sword or gun to this little man.
At this point it was the bat to his baseball game. He makes the cutest shooting noises to go along with this.

Ok - so these last two aren't of my kids, but I just loved these pictures and wanted to share them.
This is Zora (my sister Michelle's daughter) after her dance recital in May.

My sister in law, Jennifer and her daughter Chalyn.

Great pictures!! I love the one of the girls sleeping together...and how cute is Brendan in his little bouncer...your kids are adorable, and we LOVED having them at our house last week. Aidan has asked every day since, about "his friends" and wants to know when they are coming back. Let me know when we can get together for a play date, or if you need me to watch them :)

Such a sweet post!! Your kids are absolutely ADORABLE!! I remember one particular Sunday in church. One of your girls got up to bear her testimony. (I don't remember which one. Sorry!) I was pregnant with Hayley and we recently found out she was a girl. Anyway, your daughter gave the sweetest little testimony. Dustin leaned over and said "I want our little girl to be just like the Anderson girls!" It was so cute! If my little Hayley is as sweet as your girls, we'll be on the right track!

Cute picture of Jen! I miss her!! Did you know we used to be in the same ward together and served in YW together? Apparently this is a tradition now! Tell her Hi for me!

I love it when my kids randomly fall asleep during the day. Esp during summer break so I can get some peace and quiet. Loved the pictures.

I love the adorable pictures of your kids, and such funny little stories. Aren't boys the greatest with their sound effects? :)
