A good morning surprise

Good Morning to SNOW?????

That is right - it snowed here last night. On Monday my visiting teacher, Jo-Anne, told Alexis that there was a winter storm warning/high alert. Lexi was excited. Last time we had a large snow (for Tucson), school was cancelled the next day. She was hoping big time.

We woke up to find this...

about 2 inches of snow at our house - other areas had upwards of four inches

Even at 9am, a lot of the snow was still "stuck". This was taken on my phone at MacKenzie & Bailey's preschool teacher's house.

Snow alongside the road on the way to preschool

The playground still had snow all over the grass

It was not uncommon to find cars like this one all morning today. The kids loved it. They would shout out every time they saw another car covered in the snow and ice.

Snow at the exit of the highway. It was at least four inches here.

A picture of the storm leaving our area and heading east away from Tucson.

Much to Lexi's dismay school wasn't cancelled, although many people still kept kids home to play and have fun. Mine did not stay home. It was such a beautiful (and cold) morning today. The storm was wonderful - I only wish I would have been awake to see the snow falling!
